My Little Chef - Chocolate Cheesecake

William decided that we hadn't done any cooking or baking for a while

(Albeit only just under two weeks)

He was determined to make something sweet and as a favourite in our household he chose Cheesecake.

Ingredients:

  • 1x Packet of Chocolate Digestives
  • Butter
  • 200g Mascarpone Cream Cheese
  • Medium Double Cream
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Bag of Malteasers
  • Bag Of White Chocolate Buttons

William started by putting the whole packet of Digestives into a bag to break up.
(He wanted a thick biscuit base so used all in the packet)

Breaking the biscuits into crumbs.

He asked Daddy to melt some butter to mix with the biscuits; this is to help set the biscuits in the tin whilst it is in the fridge.

Mixing the Double Cream and the Mascarpone together; whisk until think and creamy.

Separate the mix between two bowls; add 2 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder to one bowl.

Whisk the Cocoa Powder in; add as many spoonful's of sugar until it is as sweet as you want it.

After taking a moment to unplug the whisk William is instant that you lick the whisk clean!!

Using the White Chocolate Buttons; break the buttons into pieces and mix into the chocolate cream mix.

Break up half of the Malteasers up in a bag; mix this into the plain cream.

After taking the set biscuits out of the fridge and pour the plain cream/Malteaser mix on top; Spread the mixture as flat as possible.

Follow this with the Chocolate Cream mix.

Level the mixture out and decorate with the remaining Chocolates.

Leave the decorated Cheesecake in the fridge for four hours to set.

Take the Cheesecake out and remove the tin.

Eat and Enjoy!!

William made this entirely himself and created the different combinations and ideas.

(Apart from melting the butter and some assistance with pouring the different mixtures where Daddy helped)

I hope you enjoyed Williams first instalment of  'My Little Chef'' let us know if you make this!!
Would love to know how you get on!

What a fabulous idea. I'd not thought of making cheesecake with my boys before but as you don't have to bake it it's perfect. I suspect they'll particularly enjoy smashing the biscuits!!

That's the best part. No need to bake. Lots that kids can do themselves and fun with the smashing biscuits!! Thanks for commenting!
